THE BUSINESS, OUR STORY
In 2018, Nick and Annie took over from long standing southside business, Ayers Signs.
Nick had worked with Ayers for 4 years, and when the owner was looking to retire, it was a natural transition for Nick to take over. Wanting to establish the business in a more prominent location and with new branding, Nick and Annie created “Blackbird Signs” and moved the business into the premises at Unit 7, 10 Boron St, Sumner.
Blackbird Signs strives to deliver an old-fashioned, family-owned business experience whilst using the most up to date equipment, materials, and techniques. Our client base includes huge industry leaders such as Hitachi Construction Machinery and Honda, through to small, local businesses and charity organisations such as Vinnies.
Our business has continued to grow steadily over the past 5 years thanks to a loyal customer base, many word-of-mouth recommendations and consistent marketing improvements. It’s exciting for us to also watch the growth of our customers’ businesses as they purchase new vehicles for their fleet or take on additional premises.
